Jon has served the Lord Jesus Christ as a missionary to the Philippines, as pastor in California, and as a missionary-pastor to congregations in remote “bush” Alaska, among the Aleut people of King Cove, and the Yup’ik people of Scammon Bay. Since symptoms of what was first suspected as Lou Gehrig’s disease began to manifest in 2007, Jon and his family left Alaska and their beloved Yup’ik brothers and sisters in Scammon Bay and returned to the lower 48 states. Jon continues to serve the Lord despite his ailments. The congregation of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Anniston, Alabama has called him to be their pastor. Jon has humbly answered the Lord’s call and has been ministering in Alabama since January 2009. More information about Jon is available at Justification by Grace.
